Get a great start to university life with the University of Akureyri’s New Student Days! SHA introduces its activities, welcomes new students into the student community, and hosts a barbecue and New Student Party for all new students and current students at the University of Akureyri.

The legendary SHA Sprellmót takes place on 18 September 2026. SHA’s affiliated societies compete in fun challenges around town, dress up in costumes, and battle for the coveted Sprellmót trophy. A great chance to meet people, have fun, and experience the HA student spirit!
