Groundbreaking Ceremony for New Student Housing on September 2nd

The groundbreaking ceremony for new student housing on the University of Akureyri campus will take place on Wednesday, September 2, at 3:30 PM.

This marks an important and long-awaited milestone for the student community at the University of Akureyri. The development of new student housing will improve access to accommodation, strengthen student life on campus, and support the continued development of Akureyri as a thriving university town.

SHA is particularly pleased to see this project now moving forward. Access to secure and affordable housing is an important part of ensuring that students are able to pursue their studies under good conditions, and the expansion of student housing is therefore highly significant for the future of the university community in Akureyri.
