SHA celebrates its 40th year with a new look and a new website

This spring, the Student Council of SHA decided to mark an important milestone: the student community at the University of Akureyri will begin its 40th year of activity in the 2026–2027 academic year, with SHA turning 40 in 2027.

To celebrate, SHA is giving its visual identity a well-deserved refresh. This includes updating the SHA logo to better reflect the development of the association and the student community it represents today. Work is also underway on a new website, designed to make information clearer, more accessible and more engaging for students, member associations, partners and everyone interested in SHA’s work.

The aim is to complete this work before Freshers’ Days this autumn. Until then, some information, photos or other content on the current website may be outdated or not fully accurate. We apologise for any inconvenience while these updates are in progress.

We are very excited to introduce SHA’s new logo, new website and refreshed look at the beginning of the next academic year. After all, turning 40 is clearly just the beginning.
